Occupational Health & Safety

The Strategic HR Unit co-ordinates the administration of OH&S matters at UTAS, particularly in relation to workers compensation and rehabilitation, radiation safety and hazardous materials management. The Unit's objective is to assist university managers to ensure the health and safety of staff, students and others to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and university policies.

Chemical Management System (CMS)

The CMS is an online chemical information management system that provides safety information for the creation of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and on the storage, handling and labelling of chemicals.

Tasmania University Field Safety System (TUFSS)

TUFFS is the management tool for staff, students and volunteers participating in research activities at UTAS. As well as record keeping it provides a central location for policies and procedures relevant to field safety.
