Strategic HR Management

The Strategic HR Unit encompasses workforce planning, equity and diversity management. The Unit aims to provide a high-level of advice to budget centres in determining the workforce requirements necessary to achieve their strategic goals and has responsibility for the University-wide development and monitoring of equity & diversity policies, plans and programmes.

Equity and Diversity

UTAS has identified six institutional goals in relation to Equity and Diversity that it aspires to achieve over the next triennium. The following pages will assist you in understanding these goals and identify the support that is in place to assist and inform staff.

EO Online

An initiative to raise the awareness of staff about harassment and discrimination issues, and to be clear about the standards of behaviour staff must observe in the workplace. All newly appointed staff commencing are required to complete this online equal opportunity training program.

Workforce Planning

The following provides information and tools to assist in profiling the workforce and identifying staffing trends as well as advice on managing change in the workplace.

AES and ATSI Equity

The AES has been introduced to support the provision of employment and career development opportunities for Aboriginal people. The following pages provide information and guidelines on implementation of the strategy.
